Get a picture with Chachi (eventually)

So Chachi’s class was really good, until I went to get a photo. The guy in charge wouldn’t let me, said I had to come back later, and I was thee last person to get a picture… So annoyed. But now it was mentioned I should apply for the solos in the soar championships which I was going to watch anyway. Hopefully with my spectator ticket I can pay an extra fee to join in, but I just know this guy has it in for me and i’m not going to be allowed. On top of that Chachi is a judge so I might get the chance to get a picture, if I’m actually allowed.

I’m starting a vow, to stop drinking fizzy drinks forever

who’s taking Chachi’s workshop tomorrow?

My Nujabes dedication piece. After all these years, I finally got it. The latest and certainly not the last addition to my body, Lady Brown.

“The concept of portraying evil and then destroying it - I know this is considered mainstream, but I think it is rotten. This idea that whenever something evil happens someone particular can be blamed and punished for it, in life and in politics, is hopeless.”
—Hayao Miyazaki

One of my very favourite recurring themes in Miyazaki’s work - especially in Spirited Away - is how the grotesque and initially threatening reveals itself to be benign and even compassionate. It’s so beautiful, and a lot more meaningful than the typical good-evil/black-white dichotomy of other mythology.
